Early Work
For the first two years, I was limited to using only a 35mm camera and the intricate methods of the darkroom. This restriction pushed me to carefully consider every frame I captured—from its composition to how I would print it. I want to thank David Shannon Leer and Heather McKinney for teaching me the art of analog photography, which ultimately sparked my deep love for the craft. I’ve divided this section into four parts: Photo 113, Summer 2021, Photo 213, and Color Film. Each section features some of my favorite images from that time. A couple of things to note: 1) Some of the images have been digitally edited to replicate the diverse print techniques I used in the originals. 2) If you haven’t seen it yet, The Masque of the Red Death was my final project for Photo 213, so be sure to check it out!
